A Coaching Scenario
When he hired her, Marla’s boss said that she was one of the most creative people he knew. However, at her 90 day review, her boss told her that she appeared headed in the wrong direction. He said that she acted timid and unsure of herself. Her boss implied that he was beginning to believe that she was a poor match for her job.
Then Marla began working with her professional development coach. After a few sessions, Marla’s self-confidence increased. Her coach helped her identify and reinforce her past experiences of success and apply them to her current work. Marla recently brought in a Fortune 500 company as her client. She also led her team to develop a powerful idea for increasing market share and company profits. |
